The 100th anniversary of Poland Independence saw the birth of many projects, Dzieci Warszawy (Warsaw Kids) is one of them.
Po-Nad-To and the vocal school Wokart Studio conducted this unique initiative together with the financial support of the Warsaw City Hall.
Joanna Pawlik, the founder Wokart Studio, recruited 12 participants from poland, but also teenagers from the Jewish, Ukrainian and Chechen communities. Amoung them, young singers and dancers.
Together they have chosen existing songs from Polish composers and created choreographies reflecting Freedom and Mutual Respect and performed them on stage with live musicians.
The idea behind the project, was to create a stage performance where young polish people having different ethnical and religious backgrounds would come together and celebrate values such as freedom, democracy and the vivre-ensemble.
